LangheMyLove — A Journey That Began by Chance

LangheMyLove — A Journey That Began by Chance

LangheMyLove began from a deep love for a place I discovered entirely by chance, almost fifteen years ago — the very moment I met my future husband.

I still remember it clearly. He said, “I’m from Alba.”

And I replied, “Alba? Where is that? What kind of place is it?”

I had no idea.

Discovering Alba — A Quiet Capital of Wine and Elegance

And perhaps that’s the beauty of it. Even today, Alba remains a place for true connoisseurs and curious souls — a quiet capital of wine, gastronomy, and understated elegance. It’s not a place of mass tourism.

For me, however, it marked a real turning point. It opened up an entirely new world — the world of wine. Back then, I knew nothing about it. But over time, it became a central part of my life, my work, and my way of seeing this land.

Feeling at Home in the Langhe

Being in the Langhe was the first time I truly felt at home in Italy.

Perhaps it was because of the landscape — the way it changes with the seasons, the vibrant greens of spring, the deep golds and reds of autumn. Something in that rhythm, in that palette, felt familiar to me. Natural. Close to my own roots, maybe. Coming from the Baltic, I’ve always been drawn to places where nature sets the pace of life.

Walking, Slowing Down, and Falling in Love

There are also the endless hiking trails that wind through vineyard-covered hills and hazelnut groves, where every climb rewards you with an amphitheatre of views.

Here, I truly learned what slow living and slow food mean. For instance, it’s the joy of arriving at a restaurant terrace just in time for sunset, with a glass of Barolo in hand and silence all around.

In short, it’s a place that teaches you how to slow down — and truly feel.

From Langhe to Roero, Monferrato, and the Alps

LangheMyLove began as my home — my first love, my base, my new roots. Then, little by little, it grew.

It started to stretch beyond the Langhe — into the Roero, with its ancient sands and reserved character. Later, it reached Monferrato, a wilder land of woods, rolling hills, grappa, and hazelnuts.

Eventually, I found myself going further upward, into the Cuneo Alps — where I now love to spend my summer weekends, breathing in the alpine freshness, hiking long mountain trails, and tasting local flavors like aged Castelmagno di Alpeggio and raw milk butter.

Why It’s Called LangheMyLove

I could have called this project LangheRoeroMonferratoAlpsMyLove — and maybe that would have felt more geographically complete for now.

However, it would have been less true. Because everything started with the Langhe.

And love — real love — isn’t something fixed. It’s an expanding emotion. It grows, it deepens, it transforms. And so has this journey.

An Invitation to Discover the Langhe

LangheMyLove is a space to share all of that — the people, the wines, the landscapes, the gestures, the stories, and the silences.

In the end, it’s my way of saying: look, listen, come discover it for yourself.

Who knows — maybe you, too, will fall in love with it. By chance.
